What is a virtual attorney?
A virtual attorney is a licensed attorney who provides legal services through the internet instead of a traditional brick and mortar office. Unlike document preparation sites, as a virtual attorney I am able to work with you directly, provide advice, and create documents that are tailored to your specific needs. But most importantly, it is about convenience. No longer is there a need to take time out of your busy day to schedule a meeting with your attorney. Flexible scheduling allows us to work together at a time and place that works for you, so you can focus on running your business.
Why use a virtual attorney?
A virtual attorney is able to provide the same services as a traditional attorney but for a fraction of the cost. Additionally, you can work with your attorney at a time convenient to you. You no longer have to take time out of your busy day to visit an attorney’s office. While I keep regular business hours, you can send, review, and print your documents at any time. You can also send secure email at a time convenient to you. I will respond as soon as possible.
How do I work with a virtual attorney?
If you are a new client, please create a secure client account here. Carefully review these terms and conditions. Once you have created your personal account, log in, and describe your situation. I will receive a notification and review your message. I will respond within 24 hours. Once I am sure I am able to assist you I will send you a retainer agreement detailing the extent of the services I will provide, the cost and your rights. You can then log in, review the agreement and digitally sign it. Once payment is received through PayPal, work on your case will begin. Sometimes it may be helpful to have a conversation. You can schedule a time here. If I am unable to take your case, I will refer you to another attorney.
As an existing client, you can log into your account here. You can review your messages and documents at any time.

I’m worried about sharing my information on the internet, is a virtual law office secure?
Absolutely. Communications through the virtual law office application are conducted over Secure HTTP, which is the highest industry standard protections available on the internet. Payments are processed by Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) compliant credit card processors, and your credit card data are not stored on our servers. Further, I take outmost care in ensuring your privacy. Just to be extra cautious, do not provide sensitive legal information through email or the contact form on this website. Instead, sign up for your secure client portal here. Registering for a client account is free and there is no obligation.
How much do you charge and how do I pay you?
Please visit the Services page to see an example of the services I provide and the fees. I accept credit card payments through PayPal. In most cases, payment is due before work can begin. However, payment plans are available for some services.
How do attorney drafted contracts differ from the use of free internet templates?
A template found online may be a good starting point for your document. However, there are numerous state specific laws that may not be accounted for in the template. At best you will have a document that is not accurate, at worst you will have one that is invalid. An attorney drafted document will not only account for all state specific laws, but will also advise you how best to draft it in your best interest.
How do I know if you can take my case?
When I receive your initial inquiry, I will ensure that there is no conflict of interest. I will review your requirements and determine if I am able to assist you. I will notify you within 24 hours. If I am unable to take your case I will refer you to an attorney who can.
I am licensed in New York state and serve clients statewide.
